My Holistic Health Journey and Finding “Medical Balance”

I first want to admit, if not for my job, I would not be writing this post. So as much as I am on the “Making my passion and purpose my focus and my main priority right now” journey, I can give credit where it is due.

My health Insurance plan I am on covers things like the chiropractor and acupuncture, so I have a low copay, in fact lower than the regular doctor’s office. Honestly my schedule, budget, and priorities are all fluctuating at the moment but in a perfect scenario: I try to have a well-regulated maintenance routine and wellness routine.

Since developing my wellness routine, thanks to the access of my health insurance I now monthly go to my chiropractor and my acupuncturist. It feels like a monthly tune up and check in. When I am in need of “work”, I know I can afford to get checked. When I just want to go and be mindful and rest, I have access to do this as well. I’ve developed this routine around what is healthy for me as a 24 year old woman and recommended as my annual medical visits such as: annual physical, vision exam, twice a year dental checkups, well women’s exams and more.

Having this balance of going to the traditional doctor, and practicing other forms of other holistic practices like cupping, getting lymphatic massages, and visiting the spa I have found there is beauty in balance. Medical balance is do the absolute best for my body, and understanding what it needs from  how I feel to how I perform.

While I know not everything is going to work 100%, I am open to trying anything safe- in judgement and common sense. I won’t avoid a holistic approach to wellness especially once that is practiced by a well-trained and informed practitioner. I recently have taken up yoga, and I am looking into a traditionally functioning Pilate’s studio near me as well.

I take pride in knowing I do the best I can for my body in all aspects, and that in return it continues to provide for me. I encourage being curious and trying what may work for you and your body based on research and an informed decision. My health regimen isn’t perfect and I have a few more boxes I need to fill, but I have met and continue to see amazing practitioners who make me feel my best.

I owe it all to after selecting an insurance provider, I happened to see “covers acupuncture, chiropractor care…..” in the brochure and decided to give it a try.

Have you considered Holistic Care? Let me know!

xoxo

VM.
