It’s Time to Lock In- Revisiting Weight Loss

Revisiting Weight Loss: 5 Rules That Keep It Simple

I’ve lost weight, gained weight, lost again—and somewhere in between, I found myself.

There are countless fads, hashtags, and trends—SkinnyTok promises quick fixes and miracle hacks. But at its core, weight loss comes down to returning to what’s real, what’s rooted.

Here are the 5 rules I return to:

  • Calorie Deficit is Queen: You cannot outwork your intake. Eat less than you burn—it’s math and mindfulness.
  • Hydrate Like You Mean It: A gallon a day. Water first, water always. It clears your skin, your mind, your hunger signals.
  • Move in Joy, Not Punishment: Dance. Walk. Stretch. Run. Sweat like you’re honoring your body, not punishing it.
  • Get Back to Whole Foods: Raw till dinner. Fruits, veggies, whole grains, clean proteins. Keep it simple.
  • Sleep and Routine Matter More Than You Think: 7+ hours of sleep. Daily rhythms. When your body knows what to expect, it works with you.

Your body is not the enemy. It is the temple. Love it enough to be consistent, gentle, and honest.

You are important. You are loved. You are blessed.
